Worship Assistant
Brief info
My name is Kellye Johnson and I am an architect who specializes in programming and planning healthcare architecture for a living and serve as a Worship Assistant at St. Paul UMC on a voluntary basis. I began attending St. Paul UMC after my Walk to Emmaus in 2002 as I joined a 4th day group here. I have served on a variety of committees and taught Sunday school for several years. While I graduated with honors with a Master of Architecture degree (1986), I also completed a Master of Divinity with the Logsdon School of Theology Graduate Award for Comprehensive Achievement and All-around Fitness for Ministry (2013). I spent 7 years “in process” and completed additional coursework required for an Elder in the UMC beyond my M-Div. I have a heart for international short-term missions where 2/3 of the world lives in conditions far less than what I live in daily. I have been blessed to serve and/or lead both construction and medical teams (I grew up as a daughter of two pharmacists and have worked in pharmacies on mission teams). I enjoy traveling, especially to other countries in God’s big backyard for fun and mission activities.
