We believe an essential part of following Jesus is serving our community and world, so that all people can not only survive but thrive. There are a variety of opportunities to serve based on your passions, skills, and time available — from donating items to volunteering weekly. If you would like to get involved with serving the needs of our community and world, please contact Pastor Katie Newkirk, and she can get you connected.

Service Opportunities
Here are some ways you can serve alongside us:

Academy4 at Donna Park Elementary School — Volunteers mentor 4th graders monthly for 90 minutes in leadership and character development.

Kairos — Each year, we send volunteers to serve at Kairos retreats, sharing the love of God with prison inmates and with women who have a loved one in prison.

Methodist Children's Home — Our Christmas Eve offering each year goes to Methodist Children's Home, a non-profit agency that supports children, youth, and families through a variety of services, including residential care, foster care, parent education, and transition programs.

Mission Trip — Each summer, youth, young adults, and adults participate in a mission trip with UMArmy, helping neighbors with home repairs throughout the Southern states.

North East Emergency Distribution (NEED) — We accept canned food and toiletry donations daily to support our local food pantry, and church members also volunteer at NEED 1-3 times a month.

Project Transformation — A summer camp for students in underserved communities with a focus on literacy. Volunteers serve by donating supplies, reading with students for one week of the summer, and/or serving meals to the interns.

6Stones — We support this non-profit throughout the year through their school supply drive and Night of Hope Christmas gift drive.

Tutoring at Donna Park Elementary School — Volunteers tutor students weekly to help them improve their literacy and math skills.

United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) — We donate money and supplies periodically to support natural and human-made disaster recovery throughout the world.

Visions Unlimited — Each fall we host a Taco Pile-Up fundraiser to raise money for Visions Unlimited, a TCC scholarship program for unhoused persons.
